Lessons of Life.

Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters.

For this entry, I'd like to introduce a good friend of mine. A friend I first knew him when we were in our lower secondary years at SMK Bachok. Ahmad Najmuddin Ahmad Imran was in MRSM Kota Putra during his upper secondary years. Ahmad Najmuddin or Mudin for short, is one of the SPC (Skim Pelajar Cemerlang) MARA students. He is now currently studying Foundation in Health and Life Science at Management and Science University (MSU), Shah Alam.

Well, Mudin is now having his break at home here in Kelantan. With his much of free time, he is willingly to share with me insights on what is happening in the real life out there, specifically, the real life of a college student. So, now I would like to compile all of what he just shared, into a one beneficial entry for everyone.

Najmuddin stated that life is definitely not a bed of roses. When you are a student, you have to struggle, especially if you want to be excellent. You have to know several essential components you have to take care of. First is your TIME. Being a busy student, you will feel that your time is very short. But, if you can actually manage your time wisely, it is very possible to get everything done perfectly on time. So, remember, time management is very important. As it is stated in the Quran in Surah al - Asr, 103 : (1-3), "By time, verily man is in loss, except those who believe and do righteous deeds and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to patience. "

What important next is, SENSE OF SURVIVAL. Lecturers have different approaches to students. Some will guide you through the path, some will just open the door, and leaves you to make the decision yourself. So, you would not want to make the wrong decision right? Thus, always think before you act. Your actions matter a lot and they will give impacts on your studies. Think of the pro's and con's. And don't forget to always pray to Allah s.w.t so that He will show you the best way. InsyaAllah.

Then, do befriend with the ones who can really be your TRUE FRIENDS. I must admit that it is always best to befriend with everyone, but remember, not everyone can be your true friends. Yup, befriend with everyone, but make sure you are in a circle of friends who will go through thick and thin together with you. Friends that will surely walk in to help when the whole world walks out of your life. Good friends are those who bring amendment for you in many terms, and in term of spiritually especially as in akhlak, aqidah and so on and so forth. I bet the saying is always true, a friend in need is a friend indeed.

Last but not least, always be focused on your pace as you will always have EXAMINATIONS at the end of something. Put full commitment and efforts on your studies. Examinations are where big part of what you have studied is tested. So, always be prepared. Study consistently from the start. Burning the midnight oil is definitely not the right way to excel in examinations. And bear in mind, do pray that Allah s.w.t will give his blessings because we are not studying for the sake of examination only, but we are actually studying because of Allah s.w.t.

Now, if we practise those mentioned above. I am sure, we can be excellent students. InsyaAllah.

With this opportunity, I would like to thank Ahmad Najmuddin Ahmad Imran for sharing his experiences and very useful tips for us all.

Ahmad Najmuddin Ahmad Imran.

Akhirul kalam, Jazakallah Khair. :)
